Courthouse Banner Display Request Form

  1. This form is intended for non-profit organizations seeking permission to display banners on the Woodford County Courthouse. Applicants will be notified of approval status within 7 business days of submission. Approval is granted on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to compliance with the following guidelines:

  2. Banner Specifications:

    • Dimensions: Banners must adhere to the following size requirements: Maximum width of 20 feet and height of 3 feet.
    • Material: Durable, weather-resistant materials such as vinyl or canvas are required.
    • Grommets: Install heavy-duty reinforced grommets at all four corners and along the top and bottom edges for secure mounting.
    • Content Restrictions: Banners must not contain political, religious, or discriminatory messages.

  3. Display Guidelines

    • Duration: Banners may be displayed for a maximum of two weeks. 
    • Responsibility: Applicants are responsible for the installation and removal of banners.
    • Post-Event Removal: Banners must be removed within one day after the event concludes. 

  4. Note: Failure to comply with the above guidelines may result in the denial of future banner display requests.

  7. Banner Placement Policy

    Banners will be assigned to designated display handrail on a first-come, first-served basis, adhering to the following placement protocol:

    • Primary Placement: Upon approval, banners will be reserved for the right-side handrail of the courthouse (facing the courthouse from the road).

    • Secondary Placement: If the right-side handrail is already reserved for the requested date, the banner will be assigned to the left-side handrail, provided it is available.

    • Alternative Scheduling: In the event that both the right and left handrails are occupied on the desired date, applicants will be notified and offered the next available date(s) for banner display.

    This structured approach ensures equitable access to banner display opportunities while maintaining an organized scheduling system.
